North Decatur Chargers Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 15-0 loss to Union County on Tuesday. Union County scored on a single by Blake Fields, a double by Mook Shepler, a single by Justin Witter, a single by Alex Van Winkle, a double by Jacob Stansberry, a single by Mason Wicker, and a single by Fields in the first inning.
The North Decatur Chargers Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Union County, giving up 15 runs.
Union County got on the board in the first inning. Union County scored one run when Fields singled.
A double by Conner Messer in the first inning was a positive for North Decatur Chargers Varsity.
Stansberry led the Union County to victory on the hill. He went five innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and striking out five.
Westin Swango took the loss for North Decatur Chargers Varsity. He surrendered seven runs on four hits over one-third of an inning, striking out one.
