The Chargers returned to Ed Kaelin Field in grand fashion Friday night in their homecoming victory over the visiting Anderson Preparatory Academy Jets. The Chargers, wearing National Guard green in honor of the guard members present at and sponsoring the game, dominated all three phases of the game. The Chargers, led by the ground game of Ethan Herbert and Nick Kinker had 220 rushing yards and averaged 8.5 yards per carry. Similarly, the passing game was also on display with 194 yards of passing offense with 6 different receivers targeted and receiving the ball. And, despite the outstanding offensive performance, the Chargers may have shined the brightest on defense – allowing only 61 yards of total offense and 4 first downs for the entire evening. The Chargers will next travel to Switzerland County to battle the conference opponent Pacers.
