Chargers News · Two parents only at basketball games while county is Red

I first want to thank everyone for your cooperation with all of the guidelines and restrictions that have been put into place due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I realize that they are an inconvenience; however, hopefully everyone realizes they are essential to our athletes being able to continue playing sports. My hope is that everyone will follow the guidelines set forth by the Health Department and the Governor and our numbers will lower to the point where we can have fans in the stands again very soon!

In the meantime, we are following this policy for all home basketball games held at North Decatur:

No ticket sales or sports pass use for the general public

Only two parent/legal guardians will be allowed for each student athlete

They must have the authority to make medical decisions in the event of an injury to their athlete

They will be required to purchase a ticket or show their ND sports pass

In addition, they will be required to sign in by their athletes’ name

Everyone in attendance will have to wear a face covering at ALL times and practice social distancing by remaining more than 6’ away from all other parents and guardians (i.e. – we should not see more than two people sitting close to each other).

This will be our policy as long as Decatur County’s status remains “Red”. When our status is lowered to another color any changes to our procedures will be announced at that time.
