Chargers lost a hotly contested 7-6 game in seven innings on Tuesday at ND after surrending the lead in the seventh inning.
Corey Fasbinder went a perfect 4-4 at the dish for Chargers. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings and homered in the seventh inning.
Union County was sparked by Shepler and Miller, who teamed up for three hits and four RBIs.
The top of the first saw Chargers take an early lead, 1-0. Chargers’ threat began with a single by Fasbinder. A stolen base then moved Fasbinder from first to second.
After posting two runs in the sixth, Union County again scored two in the seventh. In the sixth, Union County scored on a sacrifice fly by Shepler, scoring Scott.
